The Ghana Freedom Party (GFP) has endorsed the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the 2024 general elections after its presidential candidate, Philip Appiah Kubi, was disqualified by the Electoral Commission over irregularities in his nomination forms.

At a media briefing on December 4, Jerry Addo, GFP’s Deputy General Secretary, announced the decision, citing extensive consultations and alignment with the NDC’s policies.

He highlighted the NDC’s plans to establish a Women’s Development Bank and provide free tertiary education for first-year students as key factors.

Addo emphasized that the endorsement reflects the vision of the late Akua Donkor, the GFP’s original candidate, who championed women’s empowerment and education.

The GFP pledged support for NDC flagbearer John Dramani Mahama to lead Ghana forward.
