Haruna Mohammed defeats Deputy Sports Minister in Asunafo North

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate, Haruna Mohammed, also known as B.A., has defeated Deputy Sports Minister Evans Opoku Bobie in the Asunafo North Constituency parliamentary race in the Ahafo Region.

Haruna secured a decisive victory with 34,082 votes, compared to the 25,101 votes obtained by the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) candidate.

Out of the total 59,648 votes cast, this outcome marks a significant shift for the NDC in the constituency, unseating the incumbent and highlighting growing support in the region.
