I’m conceding to avoid the tension in the country – Bawumia

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has conceded defeat in the 2024 presidential election, emphasizing his commitment to peace and unity.

Speaking at a press conference on Sunday, December 8, Bawumia explained that his decision was driven by a desire to prevent further tension in the country.

Acknowledging the people's choice, he stated, “The people of Ghana have voted for change, and I respect their will.” Bawumia urged NPP supporters to remain calm and supportive during this period of transition.
