I’ve agreed with Akufo-Addo on early transition starting on Dec. 11 – Mahama

President-elect John Dramani Mahama has announced that outgoing President Nana Akufo-Addo has called to congratulate him on his victory in the 2024 elections.

The two leaders have agreed to form a joint transition team, set to begin work on Wednesday, December 11.

Speaking during his victory speech, Mahama expressed gratitude for the gesture and affirmed his commitment to ensuring a smooth transition.

“We have agreed on an early inauguration of the joint transition team to work in the best interest of the Ghanaian people,” he stated.

Mahama acknowledged the significance of collaboration during this period, emphasizing his readiness to work with the outgoing administration to facilitate a seamless transfer of power.
