University of Ghana Professor Ransford Gyampo has criticized the New Patriotic Party (NPP) executives, accusing them of being manipulated by President Akufo-Addo.
Speaking on TV3’s Key Points program, he urged party stakeholders to rescue the NPP from what he described as imminent disintegration.
“They must reclaim the party from Akufo-Addo and his associates, remove the current executives, and restore its core traditions to remain a strong opposition,” he said.
Meanwhile, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, running mate to NPP’s 2024 flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, expressed disappointment at the party’s loss in the December 7 elections.
Dr. Prempeh emphasized the need for introspection to rebuild trust among Ghanaians, stating, “We respect the people’s verdict and will work to get it right.”
