John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has pledged to collaborate with traditional leaders to promote Ghanaian festivals.
He emphasized that such festivals not only celebrate cultural heritage but also serve as economic drivers that can stimulate local economies and enhance cultural tourism.
During his visit to the Ga Mantse’s palace in Greater Accra on November 28, Mahama met with King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II and the Ga Traditional Council, highlighting the vital role traditional rulers play in Ghanaian society.
He promised to support these festivals, ensuring they receive greater visibility and contribute significantly to community growth, as part of his broader development strategy for the nation.
