The Majority in Parliament has accused former National Security Minister Kofi Totobi Quakyi and ex-National Security Coordinator Larry Gbevlo-Lartey of orchestrating violent post-election incidents linked to alleged NDC operatives.
Citing attacks on appointees and state institutions, Deputy Majority Leader Patricia Appiagyei raised alarm over the rising insecurity, calling for vigilance from the public.
The accusations come a day after the pair were named to President-elect John Mahama’s interim national security team.
Majority Chief Whip Frank Annoh-Dompreh urged Mahama to demonstrate leadership by curbing the violence, warning of potential legal action if the situation escalates.
The NDC has denied knowledge of the alleged acts, dismissing claims of involvement in the unrest.
