NAPO will never prefer Mahama to Bawumia; Endorsement was a slip – Fiifi Boafo insists

Fiifi Boafo, spokesperson for Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the NPP's Vice-Presidential candidate, has denied claims that Dr. Opoku-Prempeh endorsed John Dramani Mahama over Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

This follows a viral video where Dr. Opoku-Prempeh mistakenly urged Madina voters to support Mahama.

Boafo clarified on Starr Today that the remark was an accidental slip of the tongue and not a deliberate endorsement. He emphasized that Dr. Opoku-Prempeh has consistently argued that Dr. Bawumia is the better candidate, having outperformed Mahama in his role as Vice President.

Meanwhile, Mahama responded, suggesting that NPP leaders can't stop talking about him because they are fixated on his political influence.
