NDC Obuasi East MP-elect hails Supreme Court decision on re-collation

Samuel Aboagye, MP-elect for Obuasi East, has expressed his support for the Supreme Court’s decision to nullify the Electoral Commission’s re-collation of election results in selected constituencies.

Although his constituency was not directly mentioned, Aboagye acknowledged that the EC had included Obuasi East in the re-collation process.
He emphasized the importance of adhering to due process, stating that the EC had declared him the winner on Election Day, a decision supported by signed agreements and documentation.

While the ruling may affect his re-collation results, Aboagye remains confident and commended the Supreme Court for upholding electoral integrity and the rule of law in Ghana’s political system.
