The National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Upper West Region has accused the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) of engaging in vote-buying tactics ahead of the December 7 general elections.
In a statement, the NDC claimed NPP parliamentary candidates are distributing GHS 3 million and bales of cloth to women and first-time voters, allegedly offering GHS 200 and four pieces of cloth per person to sway their votes.
The NDC criticized these actions as desperate attempts to maintain power after years of alleged mismanagement under the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia administration.
They urged voters to reject the NPP, describing the gifts as restitution for economic hardship, and emphasized the need to "reset the economy" and protect Ghana's democracy through informed voting.
