The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has vehemently rejected the re-collated results for seven disputed constituencies declared by the Electoral Commission (EC), all favoring the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
The affected constituencies—Ahafo Ano North, Techiman South, Ahafo Ano South West, Nsawam Adoagyiri, Obuasi East, Okaikwei Central, and Tema Central—were declared following a High Court directive.
NDC General Secretary Fifi Fiavi Kwetey labeled the exercise unlawful, accusing the EC of bias and undermining democratic principles.
He stated, “These results…represent a blatant assault on Ghana’s democracy.”
The NDC praised its supporters for maintaining peace and vowed to pursue accountability for alleged electoral misconduct, emphasizing that “electoral crimes have no expiry date.”
