Former President John Dramani Mahama has called on Ghanaians to unite in removing the New Patriotic Party (NPP) from power, citing what he describes as their failure in governance and economic mismanagement.
In a social media post, Mahama criticized the NPP for claiming economic competence despite overseeing a deteriorating economy.
He expressed concern about the state of the economy he may inherit if elected in 2025 but assured Ghanaians of his commitment to transparency and collective effort in rebuilding.
“We’ll meet a difficult situation, but we’ll open the books and show you the true state of affairs,” Mahama said.
He also accused the government of abandoning its pledge to protect the public purse, saying, “They’ve stolen the whole purse.”
