NPP, NDC final 2024 rallies at Legon & Madina spark fear

As Ghana’s 2024 elections draw near, the NPP and NDC are set to hold their final rallies in Accra on December 5, raising concerns over potential clashes.

The NDC will host its rally at Zurak Park in Madina, while the NPP will gather supporters at UG Sports Park, just five kilometers away.

The proximity of the events has sparked fears of tension between the rival parties.

Security forces, led by the Inspector-General of Police, are stepping up efforts to maintain peace.

Both parties have emphasized their commitment to a peaceful election, with leaders signing a Peace Pact to promote non-violence.
