The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has accused the National Democratic Congress (NDC) of instigating disruptions at collation centres in constituencies where it fears losing parliamentary seats.
At a press conference on December 16, former NPP National Chairman Peter Mac Manu claimed the NDC employed tactics to destroy election materials, intimidate officials, and obstruct the collation process.
The NPP listed constituencies such as Ablekuma North, Dome Kwabenya, and Techiman South as affected areas.
According to Mac Manu, the NDC's actions included destroying pink sheets and ballot boxes, and pressuring returning officers to declare their candidates victorious under duress.
The NPP called on the Electoral Commission (EC) to resume collation and ensure security to uphold the election's integrity.
"We urge the EC and stakeholders to act swiftly to reflect the will of voters," Mac Manu said.
