Richard Ahiagbah, Director of Communications for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has criticized the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for opposing the re-collation of votes in disputed constituencies.
Ahiagbah questioned why the NDC would resist the process if they believed in their electoral victories. He condemned alleged violence during the elections, suggesting that some declarations were made under duress.
Ahiagbah argued that re-collating the votes, rather than pursuing court cases, would quickly resolve the disputes.
The Electoral Commission (EC) has announced plans to re-collate results in nine constituencies, amid concerns over premature declarations and missing pink sheets.
The NDC has rejected the re-collation process, raising tensions over the election results.
