OSP launches investigation into food-sharing incident at Ayawaso West Wuogon

The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has initiated an investigation into a food-sharing incident during special voting in the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency.

The investigation follows allegations that incumbent MP and NPP candidate, Lydia Alhassan, distributed food packs to voters at a special voting center with her team.

John Dumelo, NDC’s parliamentary candidate for the area, condemned the act, describing it as illegal and a breach of the Electoral Commission’s (EC) regulations.

Dumelo argued that such actions compromised the fairness of the voting process and warned he could undertake similar actions on a larger scale if necessary.
