Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has addressed the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) communications team for the first time since their December 7 election loss, highlighting low voter turnout as a major factor.
Despite significant campaigning, Dr. Bawumia expressed disappointment over the results, with NDC's John Mahama securing 56.55% of the votes, compared to his 41.61%.
He revealed that 2.1 million potential voters chose not to participate, a trend observed across the country.
Dr. Bawumia emphasized the importance of understanding why voters stayed home, pledging to research the reasons behind the low turnout.
He also commended the NPP’s strong social media presence and urged the team to stay focused as the party transitions to opposition.
