Patrick Yaw Boamah, incumbent MP for Okaikwei Central, plans to challenge the parliamentary election results in court.

The Electoral Commission (EC) declared Abdulai Abu Baba Abubakar Sadiq of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) the winner with 15,383 votes, narrowly surpassing Boamah's 14,949 votes.

Boamah cited discrepancies during vote collation and issues at polling stations as grounds for his legal action.

Despite withholding specific details, he expressed confidence in the judiciary’s fairness and commitment to due process.

The Okaikwei Central seat was fiercely contested in the 2024 elections, with disputes over pink sheets delaying the EC's declaration.

Boamah assured supporters of his non-violent approach, stating he will file his petition at the High Court after completing the required legal procedures.
