NDC flagbearer John Dramani Mahama has urged Ghanaians to unite and "reset" the nation to overcome its current economic challenges.
Speaking to the clergy in Effia during his Western Region campaign tour, Mahama attributed the economic crisis to the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) mismanagement.
“Ghana is at a crossroads,” he said, emphasizing the December 7 elections as an opportunity to restore hope with a fresh vision. Mahama touted his past leadership, noting that in 2016, Ghana’s debt-to-GDP ratio was 57% with a 6.1% deficit, achieved without borrowing from the Central Bank.
He criticized the NPP for "criminal supervision" of the economy and pledged to rescue Ghana and return it to its "glory days."
Bishop Emmanuel Botwey, General Overseer of the Christian Faith Church International, encouraged Mahama to remain committed to his promises, offering prayers for his campaign success.
