Unidentified individuals have allegedly broken into the office of Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, the outgoing MP for Ablekuma West, stealing valuables and causing extensive damage.
The incident, reported on December 9, 2024, saw items including cash, a Nissan Hardbody vehicle, motorbikes, electronics, and food supplies taken.
CCTV cameras, barbed wire, and the office door were also vandalized.
The break-in coincides with post-election tensions, though authorities have not linked it to the unrest.
In Damongo, Electoral Commission offices were torched amid result delays.
Meanwhile, police have arrested 89 suspects for election-related offences, with 40 implicated in vandalism and looting.
Owusu-Ekuful, an NPP stalwart, lost her seat to the NDC’s Rev. Kweku Addo.
Authorities urge calm as security measures are enforced to ensure a peaceful transition.
