We are dismantling Wontumi’s machinery for manipulating Ashanti votes – Richard Jakpa

With the 2024 general elections just weeks away, Richard Jakpa, a member of the NDC's national security team, has vowed to prevent any vote manipulation by the ruling NPP in the Ashanti Region.

Jakpa accused NPP Chairman Wontumi of attempting to bribe polling agents to alter results and replace original pink sheets with manipulated ones.

He stressed that the NDC would act to reduce the NPP’s usual high voter turnout, aiming for genuine votes.

Jakpa also urged voters to stay at polling stations to monitor the process, ensure transparency, and report any irregularities.

He warned that the NDC would not allow the alleged rigging tactics to succeed.
