The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has downplayed the People’s National Convention’s (PNC) decision to endorse the National Democratic Congress (NDC) ahead of the 2024 elections.
The PNC, disqualified from the presidential race by the Electoral Commission, announced its support for the NDC on November 27.
However, NPP Deputy General Secretary Haruna Mohammed dismissed the move, asserting it represents only the PNC leadership, not its grassroots members.
Mohammed claimed the PNC leadership has long aligned with the NDC and expressed confidence in convincing PNC members to support the NPP’s vision for Ghana.
"This decision doesn’t shake us," he said, emphasizing the party’s focus on leading Ghana’s industrial transformation.
