The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has urged the Electoral Commission (EC) to address concerns stemming from the Special Voting Exercise ahead of the December 7 general elections.

The party raised issues including allegations of easily cleanable indelible ink, which they claim could facilitate multiple voting and impersonation.

During a press briefing in Kumasi, Ashanti Regional Communications Officer Abbas Nurudeen stated that the EC had assured them the problematic ink had been replaced. He emphasized that the NDC would not tolerate any irregularities on Election Day.

Nurudeen also encouraged NDC supporters and Ghanaians seeking change to turn out in large numbers to vote for John Dramani Mahama and NDC parliamentary candidates while remaining vigilant to ensure a fair and transparent process.
