Residents of Gomoa Otaprow are threatening to boycott the December 7 elections due to unresolved developmental issues.
The community, placed under the Agona West Municipality despite being a traditional Gomoa town, has faced neglect in infrastructure, education, health, and water.
Chiefs, including Nana Osompa Nyamekye II, have raised concerns about the poor road conditions and lack of attention from local authorities.
Despite repeated requests to the Local Government Ministry and Electoral Commission to re-demarcate the area to fall under the Gomoa Central District, no progress has been made.
Last year, the community also boycotted district assembly elections over similar grievances.
With thousands of residents, this boycott could significantly influence the parliamentary election results.
