Special Voting: 856 persons expected to vote in Ablekuma Central

The 2024 special voting exercise kicked off nationwide on December 2, with Ablekuma Central showing active participation. By 6:20 a.m., Electoral Commission (EC) officials had arrived, and voters were ready to cast their ballots.

Ballot box seals were opened under public observation at 6:48 a.m., followed by ballot inspections to ensure transparency.

Notable figures at the polling station included NPP parliamentary candidate Jefferson Sackey and NDC spokesperson Frank Onero, who both emphasized the need for peaceful elections and credible outcomes.

The special voting, involving over 130,000 EC staff, media, and security personnel, ensures they can perform duties on election day.

Out of 856 registered special voters in Ablekuma Central, 132 ballots had been cast so far, with Center A recording 56 and Center B, 76 votes.
