After the failure in Mali and Niger, the EU is now planning a military mission for four coastal states in West Africa
BERLIN taz | The European Union (EU) is apparently planning a new military mission in West Africa. As Welt am Sonntag reported, citing diplomatic circles, the EU countries want to begin the operation after a corresponding decision by the EU foreign ministers in October in Luxembourg. An as yet undefined number of police officers and soldiers are to be deployed in Ivory Coast, Ghana, Togo and Benin. It is about advice and training for security forces, “operational preparation training” for anti-terror operations, technical support and trust building in the security sector. The governments of Benin and Ghana have already sent out the necessary invitation letters.
Hey Ghanaian should do everything to block this EU Project. It is not going to do us a good. They are coming in for thier own interrest.
