Private security guards at Earl International Group Gold Ghana Ltd arrested 23 illegal miners who infiltrated the underground mine in Gbane, Talensi District, on January 15, 2025.

Over 100 galamseyers invaded the site through illegal mining pits at Shaft 2, level 2.

The suspects have been handed over to the police for further investigation.

Illegal mining invasions have plagued Earl Gold’s operations since its underground activities began.

Despite sealing illegal pits and engaging community leaders, the company continues to face challenges.

Mine Manager Firibu Salia revealed that the intrusions not only disrupt operations but endanger miners and workers.

Support pillars and concrete slabs are frequently destroyed by intruders. The company has reiterated its commitment to employing sustainable measures to address these recurrent threats.
