Attorney-General Dr. Dominic Ayine has strongly criticized Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin for alleging that National Security operatives stole personal belongings, including money and jewellery, from the residence of former Bank of Ghana Governor, Dr. Ernest Addison.
Speaking at a press briefing on Monday, March 24, 2025, Dr. Ayine dismissed the claims as baseless and an "insult to the security service."
“If Afenyo-Markin is daring me, I will make that recording available, so he should resist maligning law enforcement officers who are conducting investigations, and myself for the work we are doing,” he stated.
He assured the public that all investigative procedures were conducted ethically and in the national interest.
