Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin has publicly apologized to Gifty Jiagge-Gobah, Clerk of the Appointments Committee, following his recent outburst during a vetting session.

He had earlier accused the Clerk of bias and procedural lapses, leading the Minority to call for her resignation over alleged unprofessional conduct.

Opposition MPs claimed she showed allegiance to the ruling NDC, compromising the neutrality of the process.

However, after Roads Minister Governs Kwame Agbodza urged an apology in Parliament, Afenyo-Markin expressed regret, admitting his reaction was unprofessional.

He extended his apology to Jiagge-Gobah’s family and parliamentary colleagues.
