The Aowin Traditional Council has banished Oscar Ofori Larbi, MP for Aowin, from their territory, citing gross disrespect and false accusations against their chiefs.
Led by the Chief of Omanpe, the council performed rituals, invoking the gods to enforce the ban.
They accuse Larbi of ignoring multiple invitations, undermining traditional authority, and allegedly financing a documentary to tarnish the Omanhene’s image.
He is also linked to illegal mining, claims he denies.
Despite the fallout, Larbi insists on resolving the matter, emphasizing that cooperation with traditional leaders is crucial for the constituency’s development.
He has expressed readiness to engage the council in dialogue to lift the ban and restore relations.
