Private legal practitioner and former Berekum MP, Captain (RTD) Nkrabea Effah Dartey, has dismissed the Operation Recover All Loots (ORAL) report as insufficient for prosecution.
Speaking to Channel One News on February 10, he argued that the report can only serve as a reference for questioning individuals but lacks legal weight for prosecution.
Effah Dartey criticized President Mahama for hastily establishing ORAL to boost his anti-corruption image.
He maintained that only constitutional bodies, like the Attorney General’s office, can conduct proper investigations and enforce the law.
“In less than two months, ORAL has released a report, but no one—not even the Attorney General—can prosecute based on it,” he insisted, questioning its effectiveness.
