Former Minister of Environment, Science & Technology, Prof. Kwabena Frimpong-Boateng, has warned of an impending hunger crisis in Ghana due to the widespread destruction of farmlands by illegal small-scale mining (Galamsey).
Speaking on Key Points on TV3, he emphasized the severe impact of Galamsey on food production, noting the irreversible damage to biodiversity and pipelines.
