Ghanaians excited about ‘Operation Recover All Loot’ initiative - Bright Simons

IMANI-Africa’s Honorary Vice President, Bright Simons, says many Ghanaians are enthusiastic about the government’s newly launched ‘Operation Recover All Loot’ (ORAL) initiative.

Speaking on JoyNews, Simons noted that ORAL has sparked significant public interest, as citizens view it as a step toward accountability and reclaiming misappropriated state funds.

He stressed that for ORAL to be effective, it must remain transparent, impartial, and free from political interference.

While widely welcomed, some analysts have raised concerns about due process in asset recovery efforts.

Simons urged the government to ensure integrity in the implementation, warning that Ghanaians are watching closely to see if the initiative genuinely fights corruption or serves as a political tool.
