Lawyer Martin Kpebu, a member of the Operation Recover All Loot Committee (ORAL), has refuted reports that the committee seized a vehicle belonging to Omari Wadie, a former Vice Chairman of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Kpebu described the allegations as fake news, clarifying that ORAL had no involvement in seizing any vehicle, nor had it authorized such an action.
The committee member dismissed Wadie’s claims on Happy FM, calling the report misleading. He further criticized the spread of false information in politics, urging that individuals responsible for peddling fake news be held accountable if evidence supports such actions.
Kpebu emphasized that this incident is not unique, as misinformation has been a part of political discourse for a long time.
