Minority calls for removal of ad hoc committee chair

The Minority in Parliament is calling for the immediate removal of Emmanuel Bedzrah as Chairman of the special committee investigating last week’s disorder at the Appointments Committee’s hearings.

They accuse him of bias, witness tampering, and conflict of interest, warning that his continued role could undermine the credibility of the investigation.

At a press conference, Minority member Kwame Anyimadu-Antwi stressed the need for an impartial chair to ensure fairness.

The Minority has boycotted the committee’s proceedings, arguing that Bedzrah’s past statements and actions compromise the investigation’s integrity.

They are urging the Speaker to reconstitute the committee to restore public confidence in the process.
