The Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) Committee has identified 36 high-profile cases with the potential to recover $20.49 billion in misappropriated public funds, according to Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa.
Presenting ORAL’s final report to President John Dramani Mahama on February 10, Ablakwa revealed that the committee received 2,417 complaints, including 1,493 toll-free calls and 924 emails.
He emphasized that thorough investigations into these cases could lead to significant financial recoveries.
President Mahama has forwarded the report to the Attorney General for legal action, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to fighting corruption.
The government is now expected to prosecute implicated individuals and retrieve the lost funds to support national development.
