The Okponglo Royal Family has cautioned the Operation Recover All Loots (ORAL) Team against encroaching on their 6-acre property at Shiashie, East Legon.

This follows a reported invasion by individuals allegedly linked to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) under the guise of the ORAL Team.

Regent Nii Sowa Ako-Odoi affirmed the family’s ownership, supported by a 2019 Supreme Court ruling and valid land certificates.

The land has been leased to IOP Group of Companies for redevelopment into a commercial hub.

During the invasion, part of the fence wall was damaged. IOP representative Alhaji Sule Bayor condemned the act, urging the government to intervene.

The family has filed a police complaint and called for respect for property rights and the rule of law.
