South Dayi MP, Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor, has rejected allegations made by Oda MP Akwasi Acquah, claiming that he was assaulted during the chaos in Parliament on January 30, 2025, during ministerial vetting.

Acquah had suggested that Dafeamekpor's "balls" were grabbed, which Dafeamekpor dismissed as a “silly joke” and fabrication.

The altercation, which escalated into physical confrontations, led to property damage in Parliament. Dafeamekpor urged the public to disregard the false claim.

In the aftermath, four MPs, including Dafeamekpor, were suspended but later reinstated following appeals for unity and continuity in parliamentary work.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing, with a report due in ten days.
