Kwaku Ansa-Asare, former director of the Ghana School of Law, has called for the resignation of Special Prosecutor Kissi Agyebeng, accusing him of being politically manipulated.
Speaking on JoyNews on Wednesday, February 12, Ansa-Asare criticized Agyebeng’s decision to declare former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta a fugitive, describing it as legally flawed and lacking independence.
He argued that the Special Prosecutor’s actions undermine the principles of justice, insisting that no one should be labeled a fugitive without due process.
When asked who was influencing Agyebeng, he pointed to those in power, warning against political interference in the justice system.
Ansa-Asare urged Ghanaians to critically assess how justice is being handled in the country.
