Manasseh Azure exposes Ken Ofori-Atta’s alleged role in SML contract scandal

Investigative journalist Manasseh Azure Awuni has refuted former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta’s claims of non-involvement in the controversial Strategic Mobilization Limited (SML) contract, which is currently under investigation by the Special Prosecutor’s Office.

In a Facebook post, Manasseh shared official documents contradicting Ofori-Atta’s assertion that he was neither the "originating nor implementing Minister" of the deal.

According to Manasseh, the Finance Ministry, under Ofori-Atta, approved the contract’s expansion, sidelining key regulatory bodies like the Minerals and Petroleum Commissions.

He further alleged that SML misrepresented its technological capabilities, only deleting misleading claims after being confronted.

This latest revelation challenges Ofori-Atta’s attempt to distance himself from the scandal, raising fresh concerns about his role in the controversial deal.
