Former Special Prosecutor Martin Amidu has reiterated his support for the prosecution of ex-Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta but has criticized the Mahama administration’s handling of the case, calling it a “gargantuan government scam.”
Amidu emphasized that he was the first to identify Ofori-Atta as a suspect in the Agyapa Royalties case in his 64-page report.
However, he denounced the recent raid on Ofori-Atta’s home and his designation as a fugitive, accusing the government of using the Special Prosecutor for political ends.
Warning against abuse of power, Amidu urged Ghanaians to defend the Constitution and resist politically motivated prosecutions disguised as justice.
