Former Attorney General Martin Amidu has stated that the release of CCTV footage showing the invasion of Ken Ofori-Atta’s residence has dismantled the Office of the Special Prosecutor’s (OSP) claims.
He asserts that the footage confirms state security involvement, contradicting the OSP’s narrative that the raid was staged or carried out by imposters.
Amidu criticized Parliament for downplaying the violation of Ofori-Atta’s rights and called on President Mahama to take responsibility.
He also raised concerns about Richard Jakpa’s alleged role in the operation, suggesting collusion between National Security and the OSP.
Calling for an independent investigation, Amidu warned against executive overreach and urged decisive action to uphold the rule of law.
