Defence Minister Dr. Omane Boamah has assured Ghanaians of the government’s commitment to maintaining peace and security amid rising conflicts in Bawku and Walewale.
In a social media post, he emphasized a non-partisan and human-centered approach, stressing that *“any life lost is a major loss to the nation.”*
His statement follows renewed chieftaincy violence in Bawku and deadly clashes in Walewale, prompting the Interior Minister to impose a curfew and ban weapons in the North East Region.
With security tensions escalating, Dr. Boamah urged national unity to safeguard Ghana’s stability, reaffirming that the government is working tirelessly to restore peace.
