A group of angry Kusasi youth has called out President John Mahama for what they describe as a betrayal of trust following his failure to resolve the deepening Bawku conflict.
The youth, who say they voted overwhelmingly for the NDC based on Mahama’s campaign promise of peace, are now demanding answers as violence escalates in the area.
They lament that more than 18 people, including women and children, have died since Mahama took office three months ago.
Citing his past recognition of Naana Asigri Azorka II as the legitimate chief, the group questioned the delay in acting.
Accusing politicians of exploiting the crisis for electoral gain, they warned of a possible boycott in 2028, saying, “Don’t be shocked if ballot boxes remain empty next time.”
