Private legal practitioner Kwame Adofo has called on former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta to take legal action against the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) for allegedly unlawfully declaring him a “fugitive from justice.”

Speaking on Asaase Radio on February 15, Adofo criticized the OSP’s handling of high-profile cases, stating that the office lacks the authority to make such declarations without formal charges.

He accused the Special Prosecutor of incompetence, citing past cases, including the dismissed Cecilia Dapaah investigation. Adofo also questioned the OSP’s effectiveness since 2021, challenging its record on convictions.

Calling for accountability, he urged the government to assess the leadership of the OSP, warning that its credibility is at risk if reforms are not made.
