Parliament to convene at Accra International Conference Centre on December 16

Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, has announced that the upcoming parliamentary session will be held at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre on Monday, December 16, 2024.

This follows a notice issued on December 2, 2024, summoning Parliament to meet.

Bagbin's choice of venue comes after he rejected a request from the Majority Leader to recall Parliament just before the December 7 elections, citing concerns about disrupting election campaigns.

The session will focus on addressing outstanding matters before the transition to the Ninth Parliament of the Fourth Republic.
