Former Attorney General Ayikoi Otoo has questioned the Office of the Special Prosecutor’s (OSP) approach in its case against ex-Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta.

Speaking on Channel One TV, he argued that the OSP appears uncertain about the charges to press, raising doubts about the credibility of the investigation.

Otoo criticized the decision to declare Ofori-Atta a fugitive without an arrest warrant and stressed that prosecution should rely on solid evidence, not the accused’s testimony.

He urged the OSP, now with 340 staff, to focus on building a strong case instead of resorting to questionable legal tactics.

Ofori-Atta, accused of financial mismanagement, including $58 million spent on the stalled National Cathedral, remains abroad.
