Pooley’s stabbing happened outside Nsoatreman Stadium -DCOP Lydia Donkor

DCOP Lydia Donkor, Chairperson of the Ghana Football Association’s Security Committee, has clarified that Yaw Frimpong, popularly known as Pooley, was not stabbed inside the Nsoatreman Stadium.

Speaking on Joy FM, she emphasized that their investigation confirmed the incident occurred elsewhere, though it was linked to the football event.

Concerns had been raised about stadium security, with some questioning how a weapon could be brought into the venue.

However, DCOP Donkor stated that after the attack, Pooley was transported on a tricycle and left near the stadium, likely because an ambulance was stationed there.

The police are continuing their investigations to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
