The National Organiser of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Henry Nana Boakye, has alleged that Richard Jakpa, the third accused in the discontinued ambulance procurement case, was part of the group that raided the residence of former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta.
Speaking at a press conference on Thursday, Nana B referenced CCTV footage showing about 12 individuals—including military personnel, a police officer, and plainclothes men—storming Ofori-Atta’s home on February 11.
He questioned the legitimacy of the operation, emphasizing Jakpa’s controversial involvement.
The NPP also dismissed the Office of the Special Prosecutor's (OSP) decision to declare Ofori-Atta a fugitive, calling it "unreasonable."
Nana B insisted that the former minister has always cooperated with legal processes and cautioned the OSP against "sensational statements" that stir public emotions.
