Tolon MP, Habib Iddrisu, has accused the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) and the Mahama government of abusing power in their handling of former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta.
Speaking in Parliament, he condemned the raid on Ofori-Atta’s residence and the decision to declare him wanted, calling for accountability and justice.
In response, Energy Minister John Jinapor recalled a similar incident in 2017 when armed security operatives raided his home over the Ameri deal, causing distress to his family.
Meanwhile, Special Prosecutor Kissi Agyebeng insists Ofori-Atta is evading justice, citing his failure to appear for questioning regarding multiple corruption cases.
Ofori-Atta’s lawyers, however, maintain that he is out of the country for medical treatment and will return once cleared by doctors.
